3. Why We Collect It (Purpose)
- To process enrolment, deliver the programme, and issue certificates
- To raise GST-compliant invoices and receipts
- To communicate programme updates, schedules, and results via email, WhatsApp, and phone
- To verify identity and academic eligibility
- To maintain a tamper-proof record of your consent
- To meet legal, tax, and audit obligations
4. Legal Basis & Consent
We process your data on the basis of the consent you provide at enrolment, and where necessary to perform our contract with you or to comply with law. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8); withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out and may affect our ability to deliver the service.
5. Sharing of Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment gateway (Cashfree) — to process payments
- Communication providers (email and WhatsApp Business API) — to send programme messages
- Cloud infrastructure (Supabase, Netlify) — secure hosting and storage
- Your assigned mentor / evaluator — to review your project or thesis
- Government authorities — only where required by law (e.g. GST, audit)
All processors are required to protect your data and use it only for the stated purpose.
6. Data Security
We apply role-based access control, row-level security on our database, encrypted connections, audit logs, and backups. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis. While we take reasonable safeguards, no system is completely immune; we will notify you and the authorities of any significant breach as required by law.
7. Data Retention
We retain enrolment, financial, and certificate records for the period required by tax and company law (currently up to 8 years for financial records). Programme and project data is retained while you remain associated with us and for a reasonable period thereafter. Verification documents are retained only as long as needed for their purpose.
8. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request erasure of data no longer required (subject to legal retention)
- Withdraw consent
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India

9. Children
Where a Student is below 18 years of age, enrolment and consent must be provided by a parent or lawful guardian. We do not knowingly process a minor's data without verifiable guardian consent.
10. Cookies
Our websites and portals use only essential cookies required for login, security, and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
